Sacred Heart Church on Harefield Road hosts Coventry's Monday-night AA meeting, from 8pm for an hour and a half. Unusually, it meets on bank holidays too, so a Monday fixture is never lost to the calendar; long weekends can be hard going in early recovery, which makes that commitment more than a footnote. It is an open meeting: anyone with a desire to stop drinking is welcome, and so are family, friends and professionals who want to see what AA is about. The church is wheelchair accessible. There is no charge, no register and no booking; arriving shortly before 8pm on any Monday of the year is all it takes.
