Cork Western Road Friday Night

The Cork Western Road Friday Night group meets at the Pastoral Centre of Sacred Heart Church on Western Road, starting at 6.30pm and lasting about an hour. Al-Anon Family Groups supports anyone whose life has been affected by someone else's drinking, whether as a partner, parent, adult child, sibling or friend, and the meeting keeps its focus on the person attending rather than on the one who drinks. As an open meeting, newcomers, visitors and professionals are welcome alongside regular members, with no requirement to already identify as Al-Anon, and no one is pressed to speak. Western Road is one of Cork city's main routes, running past University College Cork, so the Pastoral Centre is a familiar, easy-to-find venue for a Friday evening meeting.
