Colchester’s Gamblers Anonymous group meets at Kingsland Church on London Road every Monday at 7.30pm. Open meetings like this one welcome everyone, including people supporting someone else, so you do not need a desire to stop gambling yourself to come along. Gamblers Anonymous describes its only requirement for membership as a desire to stop gambling, though nobody is asked to meet that on an open night like this. The gathering lasts two hours from start to finish. You don’t need to book ahead, just come along on the night. The meeting follows the same anonymity principle as other Gamblers Anonymous groups, so first names only are used.
