Chelwood

Chelwood is a Friday lunchtime Alcoholics Anonymous meeting at Chelwood Baptist Church on Adswood Road, on the Cheadle Hulme side of Cheadle, starting at 1pm and running for an hour and a half. It is an open meeting, so anyone may attend: people who want to stop drinking, relatives and friends trying to understand what a loved one is going through, and professionals or students curious about how AA works in practice. Daytime meetings like this suit people who cannot get out in the evenings, and the pace tends to be unhurried. The church is wheelchair accessible. Attendance is free, no booking is taken, and you can arrive right up to 1pm and still slip in.
