Castlebar Thursday lunch

On Thursdays at 1pm, the Parish Centre on Upper Chapel Street in Garryduff, Castlebar, Co. Mayo hosts this Al-Anon Family Groups meeting, and lasts around an hour and a quarter. The fellowship is for people affected by someone else's drinking, whether that's a partner, parent, adult child or friend. The meeting is open, meaning newcomers, visitors and anyone curious about Al-Anon can attend alongside regular members. There is no pressure to speak, and people are free to simply listen for as long as they need before joining the discussion. Al-Anon groups follow the Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions adapted from Alcoholics Anonymous, and meetings are self-supporting through voluntary contributions from members.
