Canterbury Step

Canterbury Step meets on Thursdays at 7pm at Canterbury Baptist Church on St George's Place, opposite Waitrose, and runs for an hour and a quarter. The Twelve Steps are taken in turn as the focus for reading and discussion, which gives newcomers a clear picture of how AA's programme actually works. It is an open meeting, so family, friends and professionals may attend alongside anyone with a desire to stop drinking. The church is listed as wheelchair accessible. There is no fee at any AA meeting — a collection is passed for those who wish to give — and no booking is needed; just arrive before 7pm.
