Canterbury and Coastal Group

The Canterbury and Coastal Group meets on Monday early evenings at 6pm, at Herne Community Centre on School Lane in Herne, just inland from Herne Bay, and runs for about an hour and a half. It is an Al-Anon Family Groups meeting, open to anyone whose life has been affected by someone else's drinking, whether they are a partner, parent, adult child, sibling or friend. The name reflects its role serving both Canterbury and the Kent coastal towns nearby, so members travel in from across the area rather than from Herne alone. Being an open meeting, newcomers and visitors are welcome without any prior connection to Al-Anon, and there is no pressure to speak. The early evening slot allows people to attend straight after work before the rest of the evening begins.
