Cambridge Women’s

Sunday lunchtime brings a women's Alcoholics Anonymous meeting to Milton Road Library on Ascham Road, Cambridge, starting at 1pm and running for an hour. Cambridge Women's is a closed meeting, which in AA terms means it is kept for women who have a desire to stop drinking themselves rather than for family, friends or observers; if you are a woman wondering whether your drinking has become something you want to stop, you can simply turn up and listen. Nothing is charged and nothing needs to be booked. The library is wheelchair accessible, and the early-afternoon Sunday slot makes it a gentler alternative to evening meetings for those who prefer daytime company.
