About this meeting
Every Wednesday at 7.15pm, Al-Anon members and newcomers meet in Keith, Moray at St Rufus Church Hall on Turner Street. Al-Anon Family Groups are for anyone, of any age, whose life has been touched by someone else's drinking. The meeting runs for about an hour and a half. As an open meeting, it welcomes anyone with an interest in Al-Anon, as well as its own members, so there is no need to have attended before or to know anything about the fellowship in advance. People typically talk about how someone else's drinking has affected their own life, and how they are learning to look after themselves.
Common questions
Does the relative or friend I'm concerned about need to come with me?
No, the meeting is for whoever has been affected, not the person who drinks. Plenty of members come alone and their relative or friend never attends at all. You do not need their knowledge or agreement to go.
Do I need to book a place, and is it free?
Al-Anon meetings are free, and there is no booking system. You can just turn up on the day, a little before the start time.
