About this meeting
The Bristol Women's Reparenting Check-In meets every Friday at 2pm in Room 4 at Bristol Folk House on Park Street. ACA, or Adult Children of Alcoholics, is for adults who grew up with a parent's drinking or with other family dysfunction; the fellowship's focus is on healing from those childhood experiences rather than on changing a habit today. Since it is an open meeting, nobody is turned away - friends, partners and professionals attend alongside those who identify as adult children. As its name suggests, it is a women's meeting built around the ACA idea of reparenting - learning to offer oneself the care that may have been missing in childhood. It's free to attend and there's no booking system in place - anyone interested can simply come along on the day.
