Brentwood Pilgrims Hatch

Sunday afternoons at 4pm bring the Brentwood Pilgrims Hatch meeting to the Parish Hall at Orchard Lane and Ongar Road. It is a one-hour open Alcoholics Anonymous meeting, so anyone is welcome through the door: people who want to stop drinking, people who are only wondering, and the relatives, friends and professionals around them. The hall is wheelchair accessible. A late-afternoon Sunday meeting is well placed, catching the point in the weekend when resolve often wears thin and Monday still feels far away. The same hall hosts AA meetings on several other days, so this one can be part of a regular routine or a one-off visit. It is free, and nobody needs to book or bring anything.
