The Black Country Monday Group meets each Monday evening at 19:15 in Heath Hayes, on the edge of Cannock. Sessions are held at Hayes Green Community Centre on Hayes Way, and finding it takes a little local knowledge: park in the Tesco car park, then look to your left at roughly 90 degrees. The centre is tucked away behind some bushes, just in front of the pub. This is an Overeaters Anonymous meeting for anyone with a desire to stop eating compulsively, run in English by members who understand what compulsive eating feels like from the inside. As an open meeting, it also welcomes family, friends and interested professionals. Expect a straightforward, supportive hour or so among people working the same programme. Barbara and Steph are the local contacts.
Who can come to this meeting?
This is an open Overeaters Anonymous meeting, so anyone is welcome, including family members, friends and professionals who want to understand OA. If you have a desire to stop eating compulsively, you're welcome to simply turn up. There's no need to introduce yourself as a member.
Do I need to book or pay?
No booking is needed and there's no charge to attend. Just arrive for the 19:15 start on Monday. OA has no dues or fees; groups pass a basket for voluntary contributions to cover costs like room hire, but newcomers are never expected to give anything.
How do I find the venue?
Hayes Green Community Centre is a little hidden. Park in the Tesco car park, then look to your left at about 90 degrees. The centre sits behind some bushes, just in front of the pub. If you're unsure, Barbara or Steph can point you the right way.
