Bexley Newcomers

Bexley also holds a Newcomers meeting on Thursdays at 7.45pm, running for an hour and three quarters at Hurst Community Centre on Hurst Place, the same venue as the town's Friday meeting. As the name suggests, it's particularly geared towards people who are new to Gamblers Anonymous, though it remains open to anyone affected by gambling, including partners, parents and friends. Members work through the twelve steps and share their own experience in a supportive, judgement-free setting. There's no cost to attend and no need to book a place in advance; just arrive a few minutes before quarter to eight and ask for the group. It's a good starting point if you're unsure what to expect from a first meeting.
