Belfast Newtownabbey Abbey Group meets on Friday evenings at 7.30pm in Whiteabbey Methodist Church Hall, 566-568 Shore Road, Newtownabbey, Co. Antrim. As a closed Alcoholics Anonymous meeting, it is intended for people with a desire to stop drinking rather than being open to family members, friends or professionals attending to observe. The Friday sitting is one of two the group holds each week at the same hall, giving members in Newtownabbey a further option alongside the Wednesday meeting. There is no charge for attending and no need to book a place beforehand, so members can simply arrive for the 7.30pm start.
