Basildon Friday

The Basildon Friday group meets at Trinity Methodist Church on Clay Hill Road in Vange, starting at 8pm and running for about an hour and a half. Al-Anon Family Groups supports anyone whose life has been affected by someone else's drinking, whether as a partner, parent, adult child, sibling or friend, and the meeting keeps its focus on the person attending rather than on the relative or friend who drinks. As an open meeting, newcomers, visitors and professionals are all welcome alongside regular members, with no requirement to already identify as Al-Anon, and no one is required to speak. Vange sits on the southern edge of Basildon, so the Friday evening timing offers a way to close the week out with some structured support before the weekend starts.
