Basic Text Audio meets upstairs at Rosebery Park Baptist Church on Christchurch Road, reached via the side entrance, between Boscombe and Pokesdown in Bournemouth. It runs every Thursday at 6.30pm for an hour and a half and is served by buses 1A, 1B, 1C, M2, 22 and U3. As the name suggests, the format works through an audio study of the Basic Text, covering the whole book including the steps, alongside some topic discussion and step work. Children are welcome, though pets are not permitted. It is an open meeting, so anyone with an interest in recovery can attend, whether or not they have a desire to stop using drugs themselves. Wheelchair access has not been confirmed, and the upstairs location is worth noting if stairs are a concern.
