Ballyshannon

Ballyshannon's Alcoholics Anonymous group meets every Monday at 8.30pm at Gealscoil Eirne in this South Donegal town on the River Erne. It is a members-only meeting for people who have a desire to stop drinking, rather than an open gathering for family or friends to attend. Once a month, on the first Monday, the group holds a traditional meeting format alongside its usual weekly session. Meeting at a local school gives the group a familiar, community-based setting within the town. Wheelchair access has not been confirmed for the venue, so anyone with mobility needs should get in touch beforehand to check. There is no fee to attend and, as with all AA meetings, no need to book a place.
