On Fridays, the Ballinrobe group holds a second closed meeting at the same Main Street venue, the Credit Union building known as Tacu, Co. Mayo. As with the Tuesday session, the meeting is reached through the archway gate and the first door on the left, up on the second floor, and the start time follows the same seasonal pattern of 9pm in summer and 8.30pm in winter. Because it is closed, attendance is limited to those with a desire to stop drinking rather than open to the general public. Having meetings twice in the week gives the Ballinrobe area a second regular fixture alongside Tuesday. There is no fee and no booking required, so anyone eligible can simply turn up at the archway on Main Street shortly before the start.
