Artane

On Tuesday evenings at 8.30pm, the Artane group runs a Beginner meeting at the Oratory of the Resurrection on Kilmore Road, Dublin 5. As the format suggests, this session is geared towards people newer to Alcoholics Anonymous, giving them a chance to ask questions and hear how the programme works before moving on to other meeting types. It remains a closed meeting, for people who have a desire to stop drinking, rather than family members or professionals wanting to sit in. There is no charge for attending and no need to book beforehand. Alongside the group's Monday lunchtime and Thursday Steps meetings, this Tuesday session gives newcomers in Artane a specific starting point, and anyone unsure where to begin is welcome to arrive a little before 8.30pm.
