Aran Inis Mór

On the island of Inis Mór, the Aran meeting takes place on Sunday at 9pm in Halla Rónáin, held upstairs in Cill Rónáin, Co. na Gaillimhe. It is a closed AA meeting for those with a desire to stop drinking, giving islanders and visitors alike a chance to attend a meeting without needing to travel to the mainland. Being upstairs at Halla Rónáin, the room itself involves a flight of stairs, and wheelchair access has not otherwise been confirmed. The meeting follows the standard AA format of open sharing among those present. There is no charge to attend and no booking required, so anyone with the relevant desire can simply come along.
