Chit system available.
Held at the Methodist Church on Bridge Street in the centre of Andover, this Tuesday meeting starts at 7pm and lasts an hour and a quarter. Each week a topic is chosen as a springboard for members to share their experience, which keeps the discussion varied and easy to follow for newcomers. It is an open meeting, so you are welcome whether the drinking that concerns you is your own or someone else's. The church is wheelchair accessible, and a chit system is available for anyone who needs attendance confirmed for court, probation or a treatment programme. Attendance is free with no booking required.
Can I attend if I am supporting someone rather than drinking myself?
Yes. Andover Topic is an open AA meeting, so family, friends and professionals are welcome alongside people who want to stop drinking.
Is there a charge or waiting list?
Neither. AA meetings are free and unbooked; arrive at the Methodist Church on Bridge Street shortly before 7pm on a Tuesday.
Can my attendance be confirmed for court or probation?
Yes. A chit system is available, so a slip confirming your attendance can be signed for court, probation or treatment purposes. The venue is also wheelchair accessible.
