About this meeting

The Alive And Free group meets every Wednesday evening at Sligo Northside Community Centre, on Holborn Hill in Rathquarter. Starting at 7:30pm and running for an hour and a half, it's a steady midweek fixture for anyone in the Sligo area looking to stop using drugs. Narcotics Anonymous is built on people sharing their own experience of staying clean, one day at a time, so what you'll find here is honest talk rather than lectures. This is a members' meeting, meaning it's for those who have a desire to stop using drugs. If that's you, you're welcome to come along, sit in, and listen for as long as you need before saying anything yourself. There's no pressure to speak at all.

Common questions

Who can attend this meeting?

This is a closed NA meeting, which means it's for people who have a desire to stop using drugs. If that describes you, you're welcome — newcomers included. You don't need to say anything; you can simply come and listen. Family or friends looking for a meeting they can attend should seek out an open NA meeting instead.

Do I need to book or pay?

No. There's no booking and no cost to attend. NA is self-supporting through members' own contributions, so a basket is passed for anyone who wishes to give a little towards room hire, but that's entirely voluntary. Just turn up on Wednesday before 7:30pm.

Is the venue wheelchair accessible?

We don't have confirmed accessibility details for Sligo Northside Community Centre. If step-free access or any other practical arrangement matters to you, it's worth contacting the group ahead of time to check before you travel.
