Adlington

The Adlington group meets every Friday at 7.30pm at Adlington Methodist Church, 61 Railway Road, in the small town between Chorley and Horwich. It is a closed Alcoholics Anonymous meeting lasting one hour, for people with a desire to stop drinking or an honest question about whether they should. Friday night is when resolve gets tested hardest; a one-hour meeting at 7.30 puts something solid at the start of the evening. For Adlington, Anderton and Rivington residents, it is the local alternative to travelling into Chorley or Bolton — recovery within walking distance, on the night it is needed most.
