ACAD Epsom : Adult Children Thursday Meeting – Talk, Trust & Feel

ACAD Epsom, also called the Adult Children Thursday Meeting, runs under the theme Talk, Trust and Feel every Thursday at 7pm at St Martin's Church on Church Street. Adult Children of Alcoholics is a Twelve Step fellowship for adults whose childhood was shaped by a parent's drinking or by other family dysfunction, and its work is about healing from that early experience rather than about stopping any behaviour in the present. Since it is an open meeting, nobody is turned away - friends, partners and professionals attend alongside those who identify as adult children. The theme reflects the ACA idea that recovery often means learning to reopen these three things after childhood taught someone to shut them down. There is no cost and no registration process; anyone curious is welcome to arrive a little before the meeting begins.
