Getting there
About this meeting
This AA meeting is a 24 hour international marathon, so while its Wednesday slot begins at midnight UK and Ireland time, it runs right around the clock rather than for a single hour. Because it's online, anyone who wants to stop drinking can join at any point, from wherever they happen to be.
Its listing on Alcoholics Anonymous's own site, linked from this page, holds the current way in rather than this page carrying it directly. As with any online meeting, it's worth checking that listing before you join, since details can be updated.
Common questions
How do I join this meeting?
Follow the link on this page to Alcoholics Anonymous's own listing, which has the current joining details. Groups sometimes change their links, so it's worth checking shortly before midnight.
Do I have to speak or turn my camera on?
No. Nobody has to share, and plenty of people spend their first few meetings just listening. If the group has its own guidance on cameras, that will be on its own listing.
Does this meeting really run for 24 hours?
Yes, it's a marathon meeting that continues right around the clock, rather than running for a single hour like most AA meetings.
