Meet In The Middle gathers every Wednesday evening at Fison Hall, part of Stowmarket United Reformed Church on Ipswich Street, right in the middle of the high street. Running from 7pm for around ninety minutes, it combines literature study with a speaker, so there's a mix of reading, discussion and hearing someone share their experience. A car park sits outside the venue, though spaces are limited; there's more room to park at the nearby B&M or Asda. One thing worth knowing: the door is locked during the meeting, so if you arrive and can't get in, send a text or call and someone will come and let you in. The hall is wheelchair accessible. Please note no pets.
Who can attend this meeting?
This is normally a closed meeting, meaning it's for anyone with a desire to stop using drugs. That said, the group is happy to arrange an open meeting for family, friends or professionals if you get in touch beforehand by text, so just let them know.
Is there a cost or do I need to book?
No. Like all Narcotics Anonymous meetings it's free to attend and there's no booking required. A voluntary contribution helps cover room hire and refreshments, but you're never expected to give and can simply turn up on the night.
What if the door is locked when I arrive?
The door is locked once the meeting is underway, which is normal for this group. If you find it shut, call or text one of the numbers listed on this page and a member will come and let you in. The hall is wheelchair accessible.
