The Meeting Format is an Experience, Strength & Hope Chair Every Week. Fellows With Children, Please Can they be Supervised and Wearing Headphones.
The Together We Can group meets every Tuesday evening at St Catharine's Convent in central Edinburgh, gathering at 4 Lauriston Gardens for an hour and a quarter from 7.30pm. This Narcotics Anonymous meeting follows an experience, strength and hope format, with a chairperson sharing their story each week before the meeting opens up for others to speak. As an open meeting, it welcomes anyone with an interest in recovery, not only NA members. Children are welcome too, though the group asks that they're supervised and wearing headphones during the meeting. Please note pets aren't permitted. If you're new to NA, arriving a few minutes early gives you a chance to settle in before things get underway. You'll find a straightforward, supportive room here.
Can I come along if I'm not sure I'm ready for NA?
Yes. This is an open meeting, so anyone is welcome, including family, friends and anyone curious about Narcotics Anonymous. The only requirement for NA membership itself is a desire to stop using drugs, but you don't need to commit to anything to attend and listen.
Do I need to book, and is there a charge?
No booking is needed and there's no cost. NA meetings are free to attend; a voluntary collection may be passed round to cover expenses like room hire, but you're never expected to give and can simply turn up on the night.
Can I bring my children?
Children are welcome at this meeting. The group asks that they be supervised at all times and wear headphones during the meeting. Please note that pets aren't allowed in the venue.
