Chit system available.
On Wednesday evenings the Lifeboat Multi-Group runs a guided Big Book study at St Nicholas Church on Dunelm South, Sunderland, from 7.30pm to 9pm. The guided format means the reading is led and worked through methodically rather than dipped into at random, which many people find the clearest way to understand how the AA programme is actually laid out in the book. It is an open meeting, so anyone may attend, including family members, friends and professionals as well as people with a desire to stop drinking. The church is wheelchair accessible, and a chit system is available where signed evidence of attendance is needed for court, probation or treatment. The meeting is free and nothing needs to be arranged in advance.
