Bus Routes: 1 and 1a from Glasgow
This Narcotics Anonymous group meets every Sunday evening at 7pm in the Chapel Hall of St Martin of Tours in Renton, near Alexandria and Dumbarton. Sessions run for an hour and follow a speaker format, where a member shares their experience of recovery before the meeting opens up. Getting here from Glasgow is straightforward on the 1 and 1a bus routes, and there is parking available on site if you're travelling by car. As an open meeting, it welcomes anyone affected by drug use, whether you're attending for yourself or supporting someone else. If it's your first time, there's no need to prepare anything or introduce yourself before you're ready. Turning up and listening is more than enough to begin with.
Who can attend this meeting?
This is an open NA meeting, so anyone is welcome, including family, friends and professionals. If you have a desire to stop using drugs, or you simply want to understand more about recovery, you can come along.
Do I need to book or pay anything?
No. There is no booking and no charge to attend. NA is self-supporting through members' own contributions, so a small voluntary donation may be passed round, but you are never expected to give anything, especially as a newcomer.
How do I get there and is there parking?
The venue is on Main Street in Renton. Parking is available on site, and you can reach it from Glasgow on the 1 and 1a bus routes. The hall is wheelchair accessible.
