Wheelchair Accessible. This is a literature study group.
This Narcotics Anonymous group meets every Friday evening at 7pm in the Ballynafeigh Community Development Association on the Ormeau Road in south Belfast. Running for an hour, it's a literature study meeting (SPAD), so expect readings from NA books followed by shared discussion around what those words mean in daily recovery. It's a good fit if you like a bit of structure to reflect on rather than an open share. The venue is wheelchair accessible. As a members-only meeting, it's for anyone with a desire to stop using drugs, whether you've been clean for years or are walking through the door for the first time. There's no need to say much until you feel ready.
Who can attend this meeting?
This is a closed (members-only) meeting, which means it's for people who have a desire to stop using drugs. If that's you, you're welcome regardless of how long you've been clean or whether it's your first time. Closed simply means the room is kept for those in recovery rather than open to observers or the wider public.
Do I need to book or pay anything?
No. NA meetings are free to attend and there's no booking needed. Just turn up on Friday for 7pm. A voluntary collection is passed round to cover room hire and refreshments, but you're never expected to give and no one will ask.
What happens at a literature study meeting?
This is an NA literature study group, so the format centres on reading passages from NA texts and then discussing them together. The venue is noted as wheelchair accessible. Meetings last around an hour.
