Heanor Women's Sobriety is a women's Alcoholics Anonymous meeting at Shipley Parish Hall on The Field in Heanor, held every Saturday at 6pm and running for an hour and a half. Some women find it far easier to talk about their drinking among other women, and this group offers exactly that space. It is a closed meeting, meaning it is for those who have, or suspect they have, a desire to stop drinking, rather than for partners, friends or observers. The hall is wheelchair accessible. As with every AA meeting there is nothing to pay and no appointment or referral needed, so you can simply walk in on the night.
