Cannock's Friday night Alcoholics Anonymous meeting is held at St Aidans Church Hall on Albert Street, off Pye Green Road, starting at 8pm and running for an hour and a half. It is an open meeting, which means the door is open to everyone: people who want to stop drinking, partners and family members trying to understand, and professionals who work alongside people affected by alcohol. Nobody is asked to speak if they would rather listen. Like every AA meeting it is free, and there is no booking, referral or membership; you simply turn up on the night. The hall is wheelchair accessible, so step-free attendance is straightforward.
