No dogs allowed (except guide dogs)
Named after the chapter of the Big Book written by Dr William Silkworth, Plumstead Doctors Opinion meets on Thursday evenings at 7.30pm at Holy Trinity Methodist Church, 265 Burrage Road, Plumstead, in the Royal Borough of Greenwich. The meeting lasts an hour. It is a closed meeting, which is AA shorthand for a meeting kept for people who have a desire to stop drinking, or who think they might; newcomers in that position are entirely welcome, and the closed format often makes it easier to speak freely. The church has wheelchair access. Dogs are not allowed in the building, apart from guide dogs. As with every AA meeting, there is nothing to pay and no booking system; you just walk in.
Can family or friends come along to this meeting?
This is a closed meeting, so it is for people who have, or think they may have, a desire to stop drinking. Family and friends would be better suited to one of AA's open meetings.
Do I need to book or pay anything?
No. AA meetings are free and there is no booking; arrive a few minutes before the 7.30pm start on Thursday.
Is Holy Trinity Methodist Church wheelchair accessible?
