Shap Open Heart

Shap Open Heart is a closed Alcoholics Anonymous meeting held every Wednesday at 7.30pm in the Memorial Hall on Main Street in Shap, near Penrith. Set in a small Cumbrian village, it gives members in a rural area a regular local meeting rather than a long drive to a town. It's for people who have a desire to stop drinking, not an open meeting for the wider public. The Memorial Hall is wheelchair accessible. There's no cost to attend and no need to book a place beforehand; anyone identifying with that desire can arrive for the 7.30pm start.
