Venue Info: Please use door at rear of church. The Format of the Meeting is a Basic Text Study Group
This Narcotics Anonymous group meets every Thursday evening at 7pm in the Vestry Room at Saint Pauls Church, on St Pauls Road in Barnsley. The focus here is study: members work through the NA Basic Text together, reading passages and sharing how the ideas land in daily life. It's a share meeting, so you'll hear people speak openly about their own experience rather than sit through lectures. When you arrive, use the door at the rear of the church. Parking is available on site, and children are welcome, which can make a real difference if getting to a meeting otherwise means arranging childcare. Sessions run for an hour and a half, giving plenty of time to settle in and listen at your own pace.
Can I come along if I'm not sure I'm ready?
Yes. This is an open meeting, so anyone is welcome, including family, friends and anyone curious about NA. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop using drugs, and you're free to simply listen.
Does it cost anything and do I need to book?
No. Narcotics Anonymous meetings are free and there's no booking. Just turn up on Thursday before 7pm and use the door at the rear of the church. A voluntary collection is passed to cover running costs, but you never have to give anything.
Is there parking and step-free access?
Parking is available at the venue. The meeting room is wheelchair accessible. Entry is via the door at the rear of Saint Pauls Church, so head round the back when you arrive.
