Tradition Meeting - Last Wednesday of the Month
Cahirciveen's Wednesday Alcoholics Anonymous meeting runs at 8.30pm in the Day Centre at The Parsonage, The Avenue, Cahirciveen, Co. Kerry, and is usually given over to Step work. On the last Wednesday of each month, the format changes to a Tradition meeting instead. It is a members meeting, held for people with a desire to stop drinking rather than an open session for family, friends or professionals. There is no charge and nothing to book, so anyone eligible can simply arrive before the meeting starts. As with most Alcoholics Anonymous meetings, sharing is always voluntary and no one is pressed to speak. Wheelchair accessibility at the Day Centre has not been confirmed, so it is worth checking directly if step-free access matters to you.
Does the Wednesday meeting always focus on the Steps?
Mostly, yes, though on the last Wednesday of the month it becomes a Tradition meeting instead.
Is there a cost, or do I need to book?
No, Alcoholics Anonymous meetings are free and there is nothing to book.
Who is the meeting for?
AA members with a desire to stop drinking. It is not an open meeting for family, friends or professionals.
