Gillingham Newcomers

Gillingham Newcomers meets on Thursday evenings at The Old Vicarage on Vicarage Road, with doors opening at 6pm ahead of the meeting itself starting an hour later. As the name suggests, it is aimed at people relatively new to Alcoholics Anonymous, though like other meetings here it is members-only, for those who have a desire to stop drinking rather than open to visitors. The early doors give people a chance to arrive, settle in and talk informally before the session begins. The venue is wheelchair accessible, and its Vicarage Road location in Gillingham puts it within reach of the wider Medway recovery community, alongside the Tuesday Big Book Step meeting held at the same address.
