Harlow Step One

Step One is where AA's programme begins, and this Harlow meeting is devoted to it, gathering on Thursday mornings at 10.30am at St Andrew's Methodist Church, The Stow, for an hour and a half. Because the focus stays on the first step, the admission at the very start of recovery, it is an especially fitting meeting for people in their first days and weeks of trying to stop drinking, though longer-sober members attend too. The meeting is closed, meaning it is intended for people who have, or think they may have, a desire to stop drinking. The room is at the rear of the church. Wheelchair access has not been confirmed. There is no charge and no booking; you can simply arrive on the morning.
