On Friday evenings Harlow offers a Meditation meeting at St Andrew's Methodist Church, The Stow, starting at 7pm and lasting an hour and a quarter. Quiet reflection is built into the format alongside sharing, drawing on the meditative side of AA's programme, and no experience of meditation or any religious belief is required. The meeting is open, so anyone is welcome, whether you want to stop drinking, are supporting somebody who does, or are simply interested in this side of recovery. The room is at the rear of the church. Wheelchair access has not been confirmed. Attendance costs nothing and needs no booking, and a calm start to Friday night is exactly what some people are looking for.
Do I need any experience of meditation?
