Chit system available.
Kidderminster Share meets on Tuesday evenings at 7.30pm at Trinity Methodist Church on Churchfields, the same venue as the town's Thursday meeting. As the name suggests, the emphasis is on sharing, with members speaking about their drinking and recovery and newcomers free to simply listen. It is an open meeting, so anyone may attend, including family members, friends and professionals as well as people who want to stop drinking. The meeting runs for an hour and a half and operates a chit system, so attendance can be evidenced for court, probation or treatment. The church is wheelchair accessible, and as always with AA there is no charge and no booking.
Will I have to speak at Kidderminster Share?
No. Sharing is always voluntary; many newcomers just listen for their first few meetings, and nobody will press you to say anything.
Who can come along?
Anyone. It is an open meeting, welcoming people who want to stop drinking as well as family, friends and professionals. It is free and there is nothing to book.
Is there wheelchair access, and can I get a chit signed?
Yes to both. The church is listed as wheelchair accessible, and the group can sign attendance slips for court, probation or treatment.
