Venue Info: Ring buzzer if door is locked during meeting. 'Open meeting' last Friday of month
Keep Coming Back is a Narcotics Anonymous meeting that gathers every Friday evening at St Silas Church on Clifford Street in Byker, Newcastle upon Tyne. Starting at 19:15 and running for around an hour and a half, it combines a speaker sharing their experience with open sharing from the room. If you arrive and find the door locked once the meeting is under way, ring the buzzer and someone will let you in. This is a members' meeting for most of the month, meant for anyone with a desire to stop using drugs. The exception is the last Friday of the month, which is an open meeting anyone can attend. Whether it's your first time or your hundredth, you're welcome to come and listen.
Can I attend if I'm not sure I have a problem with drugs?
Yes. For most Fridays this is a members' meeting, intended for people who have a desire to stop using drugs. You don't need to be certain about anything or have any clean time behind you; simply wanting to stop is enough. Come along, sit in and see how you feel.
Is there any cost or do I need to book?
No. There's no charge to attend and no booking required, so just turn up. A basket may be passed for voluntary contributions to cover costs like the room, but you're never expected to give anything, especially as a newcomer.
What if the church door is locked when I arrive?
If you get there after the meeting has started and the door is locked, ring the buzzer and a member will come and let you in. The venue is St Silas Church on Clifford Street in Byker, NE6 1DR.
