Hayle Living Sober

Hayle Living Sober meets every Wednesday at 7.30pm at Hayle Methodist Church on Mount Pleasant Gardens, and the format gives it its name: Living Sober is AA's plainly written book of practical ways to stay away from the first drink. The meeting lasts an hour and is open, so anyone may attend, whether you are worried about your own drinking, supporting somebody else, or a professional wanting to see how AA works in this corner of west Cornwall. The church is wheelchair accessible. There is nothing to pay and nothing to arrange in advance; people simply arrive shortly before 7.30pm, and newcomers can sit quietly and listen without any pressure to say a word.
