Christchurch The Steps We Took

The Steps We Took is a Friday lunchtime Alcoholics Anonymous meeting in Christchurch, held at St Joseph's Church, 67 Purewell, from 12 noon for an hour and a quarter. The name echoes the Twelve Steps at the heart of the AA programme, and the meeting is closed, which means it is for people who have a desire to stop drinking rather than for supporters or observers. If you are new, that includes you; no referral or introduction is needed, and you will not be pressed to speak. A midday meeting can be easier to fit around work and family, and easier to attend quietly. The church is wheelchair accessible, attendance is free, and there is nothing to book or sign up for.
