Folkestone Step & Tradition

Folkestone Step & Tradition meets on Sunday afternoons at 3.30pm at the Greek Orthodox Church, 39/41 Dover Road, and lasts an hour. The group studies AA's Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions, the backbone of the programme, one piece at a time, which gives the meeting a steady rhythm across the year. It is a closed meeting, held for people who have a desire to stop drinking, or who suspect they might; nobody needs to be sure, and nobody has to speak. Family and friends are better placed at an open AA meeting. The church is wheelchair accessible. Attendance is free with nothing to book, and the mid-afternoon Sunday slot suits people who find evenings difficult.
