Barnsley Step

Barnsley Step is a Friday night AA meeting at St Helens Church, 27 Laithes Lane, Athersley South, starting at 7.15pm and running until about 8.45pm. The focus is the Twelve Steps: each week the group looks at how the steps work in practice, which makes it a useful meeting whether you are brand new or have been sober for years. It is a closed meeting, meaning attendance is for people with a desire to stop drinking rather than for family, friends or professionals, who are welcome at open meetings elsewhere. St Helens Church is wheelchair accessible, and as always with AA there is nothing to pay and no need to book a place.
