The Thursday Thanks Meeting brings Narcotics Anonymous together each week at Southside Community Centre on Nicolson Street in Newington, Edinburgh. Doors open at 7pm and the meeting runs for an hour by candlelight, with a different member sharing their experience, strength and hope every week before the room opens up for others to speak. This is an open meeting, so anyone is welcome, and children are too provided they are supervised and wearing headphones. Parking is available at the venue and the space is wheelchair accessible. Pets are welcome as well. If you are new to NA, expect a warm, unhurried hour and no pressure to say anything at all until you feel ready.
Who can come to this meeting?
This is an open Narcotics Anonymous meeting, so anyone is welcome, including family, friends and anyone curious about NA. It is meant for people with a desire to stop using drugs, but you do not need to be certain of anything to attend. Children are welcome too, as long as they are supervised and wearing headphones.
Is there any cost or do I need to book?
There is no cost and no booking required. NA meetings are free and self-supporting through members' own contributions. Just turn up at Southside Community Centre. Doors open at 7pm for the 7pm start.
Is the venue accessible and is parking available?
Yes, the venue is wheelchair accessible and parking is available on site. Pets are welcome. If you arrive when doors open at 7pm you'll have time to settle in before the meeting begins.
