The Abbey Normals group meets every Monday evening at St Andrews Church in Arbroath, running from 7pm for an hour. This is an open Narcotics Anonymous meeting, so anyone is welcome, and the format alternates between reading from the Living Clean text with sharing back and a main share on experience, strength and hope, sometimes led by a speaker. To find the entrance, look opposite the Arbroath Abbey Visitor Centre car park, which offers free parking. There's a doorbell on the wall to the right of the main door. Children are welcome, though pets can't be brought along. If you're new and would rather not walk in alone, group members can arrange to meet you beforehand.
Can I come along if I've never been to a meeting before?
Yes. This is an open meeting, so anyone is welcome, including family, friends and anyone curious about Narcotics Anonymous. NA is for people with a desire to stop using drugs. If you'd prefer not to arrive on your own, group members can arrange to meet new attendees beforehand.
Do I need to book or pay anything?
No. There is no charge and no need to book. Just turn up before 7pm on Monday. There's a doorbell on the wall to the right of the main door, and free parking is available at the Abbey Visitor Centre car park opposite.
