The Meeting Format is an Experience, Strength & Hope Share Every Week. Fellows With Children, Please Can they be Supervised and Wearing Headphones.
The Niddrie Friday Night group of Narcotics Anonymous meets weekly at Richmond Hope Church on Niddrie Mains Road in Edinburgh (EH16 4PA). Doors are open from 18:30 and the meeting runs for an hour and a quarter. The format is an Experience, Strength and Hope share every week, with a speaker leading, so you'll hear members talk honestly about how they've found and kept recovery. As an open meeting, anyone is welcome, and children can come along too. If you're bringing little ones, please keep them supervised and wearing headphones during the share. No pets, though. It's a straightforward, welcoming way to end the working week among people who understand what it takes to stay clean.
Can I come to this meeting if I'm not sure I'm ready?
Yes. This is an open Narcotics Anonymous meeting, so anyone is welcome, including family, friends and anyone curious about recovery. The only requirement for NA membership is a desire to stop using drugs. You can sit quietly and just listen if that's what feels right on your first visit.
Do I need to book or pay anything?
No booking is needed and there is no charge to attend. NA has no dues or fees. A small voluntary collection is passed round to help cover room hire and refreshments, but you're never expected to give and can put in nothing at all.
Can I bring my children?
Yes, children are welcome at this meeting. The group asks that you supervise them throughout and that they wear headphones during the share, as members speak openly about personal experiences. Please note no pets are allowed at the venue.
