This is a relatively new meeting, that has been started within the past 6 months.
The Lisburn NA Group runs a Just For Today (JFT) meeting each Monday evening at the Bridge Community Centre on Railway Street in the centre of Lisburn, Co. Antrim. Starting at 7pm and lasting an hour, it's a relatively new group, set up within the past six months, so you'll find a small and growing circle of people rather than a large crowd. The JFT format takes its cue from Narcotics Anonymous daily reflections, giving members a focused theme to share around. This is a members' meeting, held for people who have a desire to stop using drugs. If Monday evenings suit you and you're looking for a foothold locally, this is a straightforward place to begin, with recovery talked about honestly and without judgement.
Who can attend this meeting?
This is a closed NA meeting, which means it's for people who have a desire to stop using drugs. If that's you, you're welcome to come along; you don't need to have any time clean or say anything on your first visit. Open meetings, by contrast, welcome family, friends and professionals, but this one is for members.
Do I need to book or pay?
No. There's no booking and no charge to attend. Narcotics Anonymous has no dues or fees; a voluntary contribution may be passed round to cover room costs, but you're never expected to give anything, especially as a newcomer. Just turn up before 7pm on the Monday.
Is the venue wheelchair accessible?
We don't have confirmed accessibility information for the Bridge Community Centre. If step-free access or other arrangements matter to you, it's worth checking with the group before you visit so they can help.
