This meeting is meant to be attended by women only. This is a literature study group.
The Doran's Hill Women's NA Group meets every Wednesday evening at Thomas Davis GFC on Doran's Hill in Newry, running from 7pm for an hour. This is a women-only Narcotics Anonymous meeting, so attendance is limited to women who identify with the fellowship. It's run as a literature study group, meaning members read from and discuss NA texts together rather than following an open-share format — a good fit if you find structure helpful and like working through the written material. As a closed meeting, it's for women with a desire to stop using drugs. The setting, shared with other members who understand, tends to make it easier to speak openly about difficult things. Newcomers are always welcome to come along and listen.
Who can attend this meeting?
This is a women-only, closed NA meeting, which means it's for women who have a desire to stop using drugs. If that's you, you're welcome regardless of how long you've been trying. Family, friends and professionals should look for an open meeting instead, as closed meetings are reserved for members and newcomers of the fellowship.
Is there a cost or do I need to book?
No. NA meetings are free to attend and there's no need to book — just turn up before 7pm on the Wednesday. Groups pass a basket for voluntary contributions to cover costs like room hire, but you're never expected to give anything, and there's no charge to walk through the door.
What is a literature study group?
Rather than an open share, this meeting works through NA literature together — members read passages and discuss what they mean and how they apply. You don't need to bring anything or have read ahead. It's a structured, supportive way to explore the programme, and it's fine to simply listen if you'd rather not read aloud.
